2020 MacBook Air

Apple has just released its new MacBook Air in a very silent way, without any hype or any event but in there website they gave a note "Our retail stores are closed until further notice. We are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers................" and  then they show the two new devices 'iPad pro' and 'MacBook Air'. MacBook Air is  the most popular lineup present in Mac series now comes with new and interesting form factors.

Features

Without losing its  specialty it's incredibly thin and light. It features a brilliant Retina display, new Magic Keyboard, Touch ID, Thunderbolt 3, processors with up to twice the performance, faster graphics, and double the storage capacity in a beautiful sleek wedge-shaped aluminum design body. And all this comes in new less price segment starting with $999 (In education store students and teachers can get it for $899)

High-resolution Retina Display(13.3")

It contain resolution of 2560X1600 for over 4 million pixels and 48% more color. It also have the True Tone technology which automatically adjusts the white point of the the display to match the color temperature of your environments and can produce sharp, clear, rich and vibrant images.

Performance

Now it also available with quad-core Intel Core i7 10th generation processor  delivers up to 2x faster CPR performance and up to  80% faster graphics performance which give smooth performance in browsing the web to play games to editing videos. They  also give 8gb to 16gb ram of high-performance 3733MHz memory and 256gb to 2TB fast SSD storage to experience the seamless work even with multiple app were open.

Keyboard

This year the keyboard is changed to the Magic Keyboard (first seen on the 16-inch MacBook Pro).  Now with the refined scissor mechanism with 1mm of travel delivers a responsive, comfortable, and little clicking sound then before. The inverted-T arrow are also come back and the backlit keys with ambient light sensor are also there which helps in typing in low lighting conditions.

Force Touch Trackpad

The trackpad is now 20% larger then before and comes with Multi-Touch gestures like pinch and zoom.

Touch ID

Touch ID sensor is located in the top right corner in the keyboard which make the every thing easier, faster and secured. It allow us to immediately access locked documents,note and system settings, without entering yet another password.

Apple T2 Security chip

MacBook Air features the apple T2 Security Chip - 2ed generation custom Mac silicon which make the  MacBook more secure. With on-the-fill data encryption, all data stored on the SSD is automatically and fully encrypted. If also featured Siri to  take all our vice command.

Upgrades

New magic keyboard 

The apple has switch from the butterfly to magic keyboard which was first introduced in 16-inch MacBook Pro and we also get back our inverted-T arrows. I think it is a good step as the old butterfly keyboard was not that good and no one like those keyboard too.

Performance

Now the MacBook Air is first time comes with the quad core chipset (10th gen i5 or 10th gen i7) and also features Iris graphics which gives us 80% faster graphic performance. The benchmarks also shows the very positive results.

Other

Now comes with new storage lineup start with 256GB and goes up to 2TB and ram start with 8GB to 16GB  which I think it's great because a laptops need a lots of space and in 2020 256GB should be the lowest limit in any laptops.

Now the new MacBook Air also supports the Pro Display HDR which sounds weird but yes we getting it in additional in a positive way so it all good.

The speakers are now 25% more volume, more loud and more clear. Camera has no  changed but microphone is somewhere improved not a big difference.
