How to Create Static Homepage in Blogger | What is Static Homepage.

What is Static Homepage?

When someone visit our website the first page that see is our homepage. It does not contain any blog or post or any other regular updates. It mainly contain info about you and your website contents. A static homepage is also known as "splash page" or "custom homepage". It help the viewers, that come through your domain name, to understand about the content that you providing to them and also help to increase visits in your website.

Steps to Set Static Homepage.


1) Create a Page


Now give it look as you want to show in your homepage. Provide details that you want (e.i contact, about website, about yourself, etc). Make sure that you provide your post link there so that people could reach to you post through that link provided in homepage.

To Create Homepage


In the left side you will find "pages" click on it and click to "new page".

 know design according to your need.

 In this example sections are created where the topic related content can be found.

 Go to our website for better experience.

2) Save Your Designed Page


After designing your homepage according to your need save it and click to view button and copy the path of page (Link) which provided after your domain.

 (e.i https://www.sptrop.xyz/xxxxx then copy only "/xxxxx")

3) Make Your Page a Static Homepage


To make your page a static homepage. Go to the "Settings" present in the left side. In the "Settings" go to the "Search preferences "and from it you will find the section of "Errors and redirections". In this section click on "edit" present in front of "Custom Redirects".

Now in the column of "From" enter "/" and in "To" enter "link that you copied"

 As shown in image


Now save it and you all ready to go with your static homepage

Codec Error I was using Kazam to record my Kali Linux screen and exported the recordings to Windows for editing, as Linux isn't as robust for video editing. The editor was throwing a codec error because the recordings were in H.264 (.mp4) format. Kazam doesn't offer much flexibility to change codecs, so manual re-encoding was necessary. This codec error isn't exclusive to Kazam recordings. Other videos in the same format might encounter similar issues and can likely be resolved with the same solution.
